The café, patisserie and restaurant under the arcades of Piazza Chanoux will open at the end of August, and star chef Paolo Griffa will bring the style from the Petit Royal of Courmayeur to Aosta.
The news had been known for some time but now new details are being added to the future of the historic Caffè Nazionale in Piazza Chanoux, in Aosta.
In the historic café’s premises, the star chef at the Petit Royal in Courmayeur, which will retain its commitment as Executive at the Grand Hôtel Royal and Golf at the Bistrot, will open an exclusive café, patisserie and restaurant kitchen at the end of August 2022.
The new room will be called Paolo Griffa at Caffè Nazionale and will be divided into two main areas: patisserie, counter and salon de thé, then haute cuisine restaurant.
Confectionery Caffè Nazionale will have a first-class proposal for every moment of the day from Royal Tea Time to aperitifs with an unprecedented drink list, a selection of some of the best international specialty coffees and teas, a range of unpublished desserts, cakes and single servings signed by Paolo Griffa.
Then Gâteaux de Voyage, chocolate shop, seasonal fermented products – all in personalized packaging and online stores ready to be shipped in record time around the world. The patisserie will be open 7 days a week.
Haute cuisine restaurants National coffee it will faithfully follow the identity, taste and imprint born of the Petit Royal in Courmayeur, a kind of move from Courmayeur to Aosta, as one note indicates.
Caffè Nazionale will be open every day for lunch and dinner except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
